🎾 Wall exit (bajada de pared) errors avoid!
In the latest video with David Fernández, Manu Martin explored five common errors in wall drops and exits in padel. These mistakes might be costing you valuable points in your matches. Here's a summary of some of them:
Leaving the ball behind:
👉 Error: Not moving adequately and attacking from an unfavorable position.
✔️ Solution: Move towards the wall to hit the ball further forward or simply lob if you can't make a good shot.
Not positioning sideways:
👉 Error: Running towards the wall facing it and then trying to hit the ball.
✔️ Solution: Adjust your position laterally to be prepared for the wall exit.
Not reaching the peak of the parabola:
👉 Error: Hitting the ball when it's at a low height.
✔️ Solution: Take the ball at the highest point of the parabola to have a better chance of attack.
Excessive speed and intention:
👉 Error: Always trying to make strong and direct shots.
✔️ Solution: Play with percentages, alternating firm shots and lobs depending on the situation.
Lack of communication with partner:
👉 Error: Not listening to your partner during the play.
✔️ Solution: Maintain constant communication to make decisions that benefit both of you.
