🧨 Quick hits
As usual we are starting off with a few quick hits of the Padel world this week.
Tello & Libaak to partner up for the coming season?
It is late in the season, with only the Barcelona Premier Padel Finals left to be played (19th-22nd of this month) but about time to make arrangements for the next season. Especially in the case of Tino Libaak, whose partner of this season retired just now. Rumor has it we will see a spicy matchup of Libaak together with Juan Tello 😍
Bea González forfeits due to injury - Triay / Fernandez snatch the Milan trophy
In a sad turn of events Bea González had to withdraw from the Milan finals due to chest problems, after a close first set which ended in a tiebreak in her favor. González had similar issues earlier this year in July already and we wish her speedy recovery to full health until the next season. 🫶
🎾 Farewell, Padel OG! Belá plays his last professional Point 🥲
When you think of padel royalty, Fernando Belasteguín is a name that dominates the conversation. Known simply as "Bela," the Argentine powerhouse has shattered records and set the bar sky-high in the sport.
With an unprecedented 16 years as the world No. 1 and over 230 titles under his belt, Bela is in a league of his own. Starting his career at the tender age of 15, Bela's journey from Pehuajó to global fame is nothing short of inspiring.
His partnership with Juan Martín Díaz remains legendary, boasting a jaw-dropping 22 consecutive tournament wins and an unbeaten streak that lasted nearly two years. And now we have seen the last of it 🥲

Belá officially retired from his career in the professional circus last Thursday after 25 years on the courts and a loss in the Milano premier Padel round of 16. against Garrido / Bergamini (6-3 / 6-4).
With that the professional career of a true Padel OG is ending but we surely haven’t seen the last of him, as he is still scheduled to play the Hexagon Cup end of January and less than 2 weeks time, he will play a tribute match against Juan Martin Diaz and Pablo Lima.
🗞️ Coello and Tapia bringing it home again
Remember when Coello and Tapia rewrote the script in spring 2023 with a jaw-dropping 46-match winning streak? Well, hold onto your rackets because they might just do it again.
With today’s victory in Italy, they’ve racked up 45 consecutive wins, defeating Ale Galan and Fede Chingotto 6-4, 7-5 in yet another commanding performance. Yes, Galan and Chingotto have been a force this season, reaching nearly every final. But since July, Coello and Tapia have been in a league of their own, steamrolling through opponents with a relentless drive.
As the Tour Finals in Barcelona loom on the horizon, just two wins separate Coello and Tapia from breaking their own record. Given their track record of reaching finals consistently, the odds are in their favor.

Can Coello and Tapia break their record in Barcelona? Catch all the action and stay tuned for the latest updates!
